Now that
you have mastered the art of installing software to your Palm
device now comes the problem almost every will face sooner
or later. Either you have added so many new applications that
your PDA is simply running out of memory or you realized that
you installed a program that is a real stinker and you would
like to get rid of it.
In either
case, removing software from your Palm device is a pretty
simple process. Keep in mind however that you can only remove
software that is stored in the RAM area of your PDA. Programs
stored in the ROM area (pretty much all the applications that
are added to the device by the manufacturer) cannot be removed.
In this
guide, we are going to remove an application called HeartCalc
(which is a heart rate calculator program). The following
step-by-step instructions will walk through the process of
deleting this application. To remove any program on your PDA,
simply follow these same steps.
Step
1: From the application launcher window, determine which
program you would like to remove.
Step
2: Tap the 'Menu' button with your stylus. This will
open a drop down menu. Tap 'Delete'.
Step
3: Highlight the program you wish to remove by tapping
on it. Tap 'Delete'.
Step
4: Confirm that you would like to delete the application
by tapping 'Yes'.
Step
5: Check the screen to make sure that the program was
successfully deleted.
Step
6: You are finished. The application should no longer
appear.
