| Energizer Energi To Go Cell Phone Charger Review www.brighthand.com |
04-17-2007 |
The Energizer Energi To Go cell phone charger is the one gadget you don't want to leave home without.
It comes in handy when traveling, especially at airports where there are only a few power outlets, which of course are always taken.
This little device does all the work for you; just plug it in to the bottom of your cell phone, the blue LED lights up, and in minutes you are ready to make that call. |
| Palm Releases a Treo Online Backup Application www.palminfocenter.com |
04-16-2007 |
Palm has released a new over the air mobile backup solution on their mobile web portal. Palm Backup Beta will automatically save a copy of your Treo's data to a secure server every day, from anywhere you have wireless data coverage. The appearance of this service is sudden but not entirely unexpected, given the recent amount of chatter amongst the Palm OS user community predicting a strong push by Palm into wireless service-related offerings.
The service currently supports backups from Contacts, Calendar, Memos, Tasks, Blazer bookmarks, Treo phone app quick dials, and the call log. No desktop computer is required and automatic backup schedules are available. Palm does offer a brief listing of optimization tips for the service that is certain to expand once more users begin using this utility regularly. |
| Mundu Instant Messenger http://mytreo.net |
04-09-2007 |
With the loss the Palm OS community suffered with the end of Verichat, Geodesic is moving in to fill the gap with the newest release of Mundu Interoperable Messenger. Version 4 will now operate on all Treo flavors, most notably the Treo 700p, which has problems running many other applications in background mode. Versions are available for both Palm OS and Windows Mobile platforms. But my concentration here is on the Palm version.
Mundu Interoperable Messenge v 4 runs perfectly in background mode, and connects to most popular messaging services including Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, GoogleTalk, and Jabber. Unlike running any of these separate clients on your desktop, Mundu allows you to view all your contacts in one window, and allows you to cross-conference. |
| Stereo Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation: Bose on a budget? www.treocentral.com |

It looks like I'll have to stock up on Purina Headphone Chow since my ever-growing stable of cans just grew by one :)
When one sees the name "Jabra", one usually thinks of little Bluetooth headsets, and they make plenty of them. But the C820s is Jabra's first foray into the ream of wired, stereo headphones, so first, let's get straight exactly what these are and what they are not: |
| Third-Party Version of Quick Install Supports Windows Vista www.brighthand.com |
04-03-2007 |
Earlier this year, Microsoft officially launched Vista, the latest version of its operating system for desktop and laptop computers.
Unfortunately for Palm OS users, the current version of the Palm Desktop does not fully support Vista. While this application will install and can synchronize PIM data, Quick Install (the desktop application that allows users to move files like .PRC and .PDB to a device) is not currently Vista compatible.
However, Business Technology Solved has developed PalmVista Simple Installer, an application that performs the same tasks as Palm Quick Install, but offers support for Windows Vista. |
| Monaco Aluminum Case for Treo 750 www.treocentral.com |

When you leave the protection of the castle, its a good idea to dress your mobile device and faithful servant in a coat of protective armor. Yet, you still want him to be nimble and not too encumbered. If you want him to be stylish and still have full functionality, you will want to consider the Monaco Aluminum Case.
This case is made from anodized aircraft grade aluminum which will shield your mobile device from bumps and scratches. The case has neoprene lining that covers the inside to protect and hold your 750 securely in place. The neoprene also keeps your Treo from getting scuffed going in and out of the case. The Monaco Aluminum Case comes in Silver and Black. |
| SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS Beta is live www.engadget.com |
03-28-2007 |
Hey you, rabid Palm OS fan, 700p owner, and Sling advocate -- remember that SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS Beta you signed up for last month? Well, it's time to lose a little more sleep over it, but this time you'll be enjoying the niceties of streaming media on your handset instead of sweating the release date. According to SlingCommunity, the beta will be going live today, and will officially support the 3G-enabled Treo 700p, but "early reports" are suggesting that 680 owners may be able to enjoy limited success even without Sling's stamp of approval. Of course, the beta will remain free |
| Palm Treo 750 Review www.brighthand.com |
03-01-2007 |
When Palm announced that it would be introducing a Windows Mobile handset in late 2005, there was a collective gasp as the company that had always before seemed to want to fly in the face of convention had finally bowed to it.
It was not long after the introduction of that first Windows Mobile Treo, the 700w on Verizon, that people started to say that it had done something with the Windows Mobile platform that other makers had not done: created a usable device that simply met the needs of its users. |
| Nuance Voice Control Available on Palm Treo Smartphones http://home.businesswire.com |
02-13-2007 |
Nuance Voice Control, a mobile search and messaging service powered by speech technology, is now available for Palm® Treo smartphones. With the Nuance Voice Control service, Treo users can easily dictate and send email or text messages, create calendar entries, dial a contact, and search the Web for business listings, news, weather, stock quotes, sport scores and more. Nuance will demonstrate the benefits of speech-enabled mobile search and communications on Treo smartphones in the Palm Pavilion and in the Nuance booth (Hall 2, Booth 2H48) at the 3GSM World Congress 2007, being held this week in Barcelona, Spain. |
| Style - Treo 680 Back in Copper www.smartphonetoday.com |
02-07-2007 |
Last month Palm started listing the copper colored (orange really) edition of the new Treo 680 as "no longer available" on its Web site. Turns out the company's statement of the death of that particular color was greatly exaggerated; the Treo 680 is available once again in that hue.
Palm once again lists the unlocked edition of the Treo 680 as being available in all four original colors: Graphite (silver), Arctic (white), Crimson (red) and Copper. This smartphone is the first - and so far only - model Palm has shipped in several colors. |
